The year 2013 marks ten years of Bistro Toscana’s existence. This was how Maciej Nowak described it in 2004 in the Gazeta Wyborcza daily: “The little place evokes nothing but true friendliness, it is bright and entirely unpretentious.” Years later, Toscana enjoys constant popularity – indubitably thanks to its excellent cuisine, professional service, and a family atmosphere. The interior is nothing but a charming backdrop.
The bistro has been arranged in rustic style. The atmosphere of a small family restaurant was recreated; every north Italian town has a plethora of such places. Italians adore wood – which is why the majority of furniture and ornaments are made of natural wood.
The handiwork suggests the work of an amateur: solid and unpretentious. The effect was intentional. Such interiors are never passé or unfashionable: they are timeless. After years of having been part of the Toscana, they still look good and authentic – as best-proven by the dining room, packed with guests in winter and summer.
