In the Euro 2012 Championship year, Makro’s display was dedicated to the event. The floral motive of the Championship logo became our chief source of inspiration.

I made the Horeca Select industrial product display part of floral patterns I placed on a giant wall of “football” outlines. The entire structure was prepared for three days of “games”.
The warm-up was handled by Rioba cafe baristas. The ball then went to Makro Academy chefs, who skilfully dribbled from kebab to pizza and from fish to beef, finally passing the ball to fast-food champions of Megabite.
Stand events were beamed onto two large-screen displays and a display in the VIP Room. A professional sound system ensured perfect audio reception. Each stand zone had its own autonomous lighting to match its overall function – toned down spotlights to stadium floodlights.
During breaks between games, guests could view the H-Line industrial products display and the Horeca Select food produce display. Each product group had its dedicated line of display units as well as cooling and refrigeration cases.
The Makro gate and reception area were a must; they were a mirror image of the Rioba cafe, creating a harmonious back-to-back effect. The gallery with its Horeca Select campaign rotating panels formed a transparent partition between the concourse and the client meeting zone.
The VIP Room, kitchen, scullery, as well as chefs’ and consultants’ locker rooms were fitted into the back area of the “playing field”.
